The use of the Torx allows the transmission of a higher tightening torque compared to other cavities. It is a universal type impression, unlike the specific ones that are used in various countries around the world (cross, philips, pozi, cut, square impressions and so on). The Torx is particularly suitable for diameters 4 and up; applying it on smaller diameters is not particularly recommended as the reduced depth of the impression compared to a cross can create problems during assembly. Precisely for this reason, if they are not mounted perfectly in line with the holes and with the screwdriver, there is a risk of the insert coming out of the screw seat.
