On softer materials the flow of plastic that is directed into the profile of the stem guarantees a self-locking function, and this happens thanks to the particular profile of the truncated cone core. It is proven that screws with threads of higher grades (such as the typical 40 \u00b0 of the chipboard and the 60 \u00b0 of the self-tapping, even if with trilobate profiles) do not have the same mechanical characteristics as this screw. Threads with profiles at 20 \u00b0 -25 \u00b0 rather than innovative, as they are often defined, are extremely harmful in that they can create breaking triggers in products particularly loaded with fiber; moreover, the profile of the crest of these screws does not have the same sealing capacity as that of 30 \u00b0, as it is too thin and not very resistant to tearing and stress.
